“Teenage Hieroglyphics” — from the First Decade of the New Millennium

Much like the 1940’s discovery of the ‘Lascaux Cave Hieroglyphics’ in France, dating back 20,000 years…open the door to my dungeoness cellar, and there you shall find, “Teenage Hieroglyphics” dating back 20 years.

These “Teenage Hieroglyphics” were created by packs of roving “Teenagers” from the hills and foothills of Berkeley, California in North America. These droves of native “Teens”, passed through my dwelling on their search for other dwellings (preferably those dwellings without the “Parental Inhabitants”). They often raided my cupboards hunting for Booze, Hostess Snoballs, and Flaming Hot Cheetos.

Their thoughts, and marks will forever be etched in my stairwell. These insights will no doubt be studied for centuries to come.

  • Who was this “Sarah Palin”? and why was she a “Bitch”?
  • “The Jonas Brothers”? Why were they hated so? How many bothers were there?
  • What was a “Green Day” (Soylent Green?) and why were there “Chemicals in Romance” Were they toxic chemicals?
  • On what continent was this place “Paris Hilton”?
  • Who was this yellow man “Bob? and why did he have a “Sponge”? Was he a janitor of sorts?
  • What was “Obama”? something similar to “Ikea”?
  • And “Yes we can”?…What was it that they could do? and did they do whatever it was they thought they could do? I hope so…
